Website Tips
1. Do NOT use busy backgrounds when you are putting text over it. It is really hard to read. So if you want people to read what you have to say then make it easy for them to read.

2. If you have tons of content don't put every page link you have in your menu. For example if you have 10 different pages of backgrounds dont link each page seperate on your menu, just put a link to a page that has the links to your background pages. This makes it easier for the visitor to see all of your content.

3. Don't mix other site links with your own page links in your menu. It looks tacky because it makes it seem like you are trying to make it look like you have more content when you really dont. Put other site links seperate, if a visitor wants to go to another site they will look at your links section.

4. Make your site as original as possible. The more unique your page is the more visitors you will get.

5. Don't direct link from other sites even if they say its okay. If there site goes down so does the images you have on your page.

6. Try to avoid alot of mispellings and grammar errors. When things are properly spelled it makes your site look cleaner and people are more likely to come back. The worst thing you can do to your site is type like this... "hEylo, wElCum 2 mAh sYte", even if you have good content it will make your site look extremely sloppy and will not make you look like a very intelligent person in the slightest. When I visit websites that use that method of writing thinking its "cool looking" I wont even think twice before x-ing that site and never going back.

7. Don't spam people to visit your site. Once you let people know where your site is and what it is about leave it at that and if they want to visit it they will. When you spam people it will only make them either NEVER want to go to your site or they will go to your site just to flame you.

8. Keep pop-ups to a minimum! People want to see your site, not one hundred popups and scripts that disrupt their computer. If you have pop-up ads make sure the pop-ups don't contain things that could harm your visitor's computers. (Tip for paypopup users: In your settings when you get your code uncheck Active-X ads. This is the part of the program that gives your visitors Trojans and other harmful spyware. It may decrease your earnings by 20% but trust me it will help return visitors to your site by 100%.)
JavaScript popups are fine if only one or at max two are used, having more than that is wrong because most people don't want to waste time having to close a ton of pointless messages and they cant close your site unless they finish closing them and that makes them not want to come back.

Here are some good and bad places to host your webpage.
www.freewebs.com This is the best free host out there. I would recommend this to everyone who wants a site! They dont have many ads at all. The filemanager is really easy to use but the only downside is you can only have 50 items.
www.geocities.com This used to be the best free host out there. The file manager is very easy and the ads are not too bad, You can even get around them.
www.boomspeed.com Great site with no ads. The file manager is basic but easy to use. Cost is 6 dollars per month.
www.bravenet.com This is a Okay free host. The ads on it are kinda anoying but they dont interupt anything.
www.tripod.com This is one of the worst free hosts out there that I have seen. There is tons of ads that interupt your visitors while they are at your site and there ads are really ugly and make your page look sloppy.
www.angelfire.com This IS the worst free site host out there. There are tons of pop-ups everytime a visitor opens, reloads, or visets your site. Most of thier ads are ugly and big and dont blend with your site at all. I would never recomend this host to anyone!
